Ayudha Puja (worship of instruments) is celebrated on Maha Navami during Navratri. In South India, it is a day of profound reverence. Historically, it commemorates the day Lord Arjuna retrieved his weapons (Gandiva bow) from the Shami tree after completing his one-year exile, using them to achieve victory.
